Metabolic disease Center

   The main goal of the Metabolic disease Center the Institute of translational medicine of Zhejiang University is to promote the combination of basic research and clinical questions， and accelerate the clinical translation and application of basic research achievements through multi-disciplinary and cross-functional collaborations, and become a leading Metabolic disease Center in the world. The areas of major research of metabolic disease mainly include but are not limited to cardiovascular diseases, neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer's disease, Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis; Muscular atrophy, etc.), metabolic diseases (Diabetes, etc.), and eye diseases (Glaucoma, Cataract, etc.). The center will focus on the clinical problems, combine with the clinical resources of the Affiliated Hospitals of Zhejiang University，to clarify the mechanisms underlying the pathogenesis of metabolic disease and develop new medical devices for clinical diagnosis and treatment.
